Create and publish a post
Write one post, add photos or a video, and publish it to several accounts at once.

Open the composer
Press Create a post on Home, or Create Post on the Posts and Calendar pages. You can open it from almost anywhere in Milar.
Choose accounts, add media, write
- 1.1 Post to: click the accounts this post goes to. Selected accounts are in full colour; click again to deselect.
- 2.2 Photos or video: press Photos or Video to add files from your computer or phone, or Library to use something from your Media Library. Several photos become a carousel where the platform supports it.
- 3.3 Caption: write your text. The counter below shows how much room you have on the strictest platform you picked (Instagram allows 2,200 characters, X 280).
- 4.Stuck for words? 4 Write with AI writes a caption for you. See Write with AI.
- 5.Press 5 Publish Now. Milar posts to every selected account and tells you when it's done.
Tip
Milar checks your media against each platform's rules (size, length, shape) before you publish, and Fix Media tells you what to change.
Not ready? Save a draft or schedule it
- Save Draft keeps the post in Posts → Drafts. Open it there whenever you want to finish it.
- Schedule picks a date and time. See Schedule posts.
- Closing the composer by accident won't lose your work: Milar asks whether to save it as a draft.
Different words for each account
Want a shorter caption on X, or a first comment on Instagram? Press Advanced at the top of the composer. The advanced composer lets you tailor every account and preview it.
