Make carousels and profile grids with Milar Studio
Cut one picture into a seamless swipeable carousel, or into a grid that shows as one big image on your Instagram profile, then post it in a click.

Open Studio
Open Studio from the sidebar, or press Milar Studio on Home. Everything happens in your browser, so nothing is uploaded until you post.
- 1.Choose what to make: a 1 Seamless carousel (one wide picture across 2 to 10 slides that flow into each other when people swipe) or a 2 Grid splitter (3, 6 or 9 posts that line up into one picture on your profile).
- 2.Press 3 Open a picture, drop a picture onto the page, or paste one with Ctrl V. Bigger pictures give sharper results.
Make a seamless carousel
- 1.1 The white frame shows what will be posted; the lines split it into slides. Drag the picture to move the frame, and scroll to zoom in and out.
- 2.2 Slides: use − and + to choose how many (2 to 10). Under Shape, pick Portrait 4:5 (taller, takes more of the feed) or Square.
- 3.Optional: rotate or flip under Transform, adjust Brightness, Contrast and Saturation, or choose a Background colour for any space the picture doesn't cover. Undo (Ctrl Z) works for everything.
- 4.Press 3 Preview to see the carousel as it will look on Instagram.
- 5.Press 4 Create carousel post. Milar saves the slides to your Media Library and opens the composer with them in order. Write a caption and publish or schedule as usual.

Download saves the slides to your computer instead, numbered in order.
Make a profile grid
- 1.Choose 1 Grid, then 2 how many posts: 3 (one row), 6 or 9.
- 2.Keep the 3 shape on Profile grid. Instagram's profile shows the middle 3:4 of each post, and Instagram doesn't accept posts narrower than 4:5. Milar posts each tile at 4:5 with a little of its neighbours at the sides, so the profile lines up perfectly.
- 3.The numbers on the tiles are the posting order. The bottom-right tile goes out first, because the newest post sits top left on your profile.
- 4.Press 4 Post grid. Milar saves the tiles and opens the composer with tile 1. Post or schedule it, and the composer opens again with the next tile, until they're all done.
Good to know
A grid is several separate posts, one tile each. If you close the composer partway, press Post tile n of N in Studio to carry on where you stopped.
Preview before you post
Preview shows the grid on a profile with your Instagram account's name and picture, above a few of your earlier posts. Switch to Posts to see each tile as it appears in the feed. For a carousel, swipe through the slides to check that they join up.
